How to get started opening an account
To take the next step, you’ll need:
- Your social security number and date of birth
- A government-issued ID with your current address (such as a driver’s license, state ID, or passport)
- Your physical residence address
If you are switching your account from another financial institution, use our Switch Kit worksheet to make the transition easier. You may also need one or more of these forms:
- Direct Deposit form for switching direct deposits and automatic deposits.
- Automatic Withdrawal form for changing automatic payments and withdrawals.
- Close Account form for closing out unwanted savings, checking and bill payment accounts.
- Balance Transfer form for transferring credit card balances to a Meridian Trust VISA credit card.
