The Nominating Committee has selected four candidates for the upcoming four open seats on the Meridian Trust Board of Directors. The nominees are:


Board Nominee- Vickie Maddox

Board of Directors Nominee

Vickie Mattox is a retired 40-year employee of BNSF and has served as a volunteer with Western Heritage Federal Credit Union for over 20 years.  She has held several leadership positions on the board including Chair.  Vickie is active in the Alliance, Nebraska community serving on several other boards and committees including Keep Alliance Beautiful, the Planning Commission, and United Way.  She has a Bachelor of Science in Business from Dakota State University.

Board of Directors Nominee

Gary Rimington established 1dash5 Enterprises LLC in 2015.  Currently, 1dash5 Enterprises owns and operates three Scooter’s Drive Thru Coffee locations in Scottsbluff and Alliance, Nebraska along with maintaining two rental properties, three real estate holdings and an investment fund. Prior to 2015 he was a real estate developer for Cabela’s Ventures Inc. for eight years. Before his private sector experience, Mr. Rimington spent 25 years as a manager serving several municipal governments in Nebraska and Wyoming.

Board of Directors Nominee

Robert Beavers, current Vice Chair, was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in 2009 while he was working for the State of Wyoming Banking Division.  He was nominated to the Board of Directors in 2013.  Bob is a graduate of Colorado State University and is a Senior Auditor for the University of Colorado Health.  His lifetime goal is to visit seven continents.  After his trip to Antarctica in 2014, he has one continent remaining—Australia.

Board of Directors Nominee

Marci Norby has served on the Board of Directors since 2016.  Prior to serving on the Board of Directors, she served on the Meridian Trust Supervisory Committee. She is the Wyoming Public Service Commission (WPSC) Administrator, overseeing Business Operations, Administration, Technical, Facility Engineers, I.T., and Fiscal sections, budget of the agency and special projects. Previously, Ms. Norby was the Technical Staff Supervisor for natural gas, pipeline and electricity for the WPSC. Before the WPSC she was an institutional investor advisor, retail investment advisor, financial analyst, and accountant with a banking system in Texas, and later, in Kansas. Ms. Norby is active in the National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC), having been a past chair of the NARUC Staff Subcommittee on Accounting and Finance and currently a member of the Staff Subcommittee on Executive Management. Ms. Norby holds a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Biology and a M.S. in Finance from the University of Wyoming and served in the United States Army.

In accordance with credit union bylaws and rules, the Board of Directors will be announced at our 2022 Annual Meeting. With four open positions on the board and four nominees, there will not be an election this year unless further candidates apply through petition.

Per Meridian Trust Bylaws, Article 5, Section 1: A brief statement of qualifications and biographical data in a form approved by the Board of Directors will be included for each nominee submitted by the nominating committee with the written notice to all eligible members.

Deadline: Petitions must be returned by end of business day on March 23, 2022, complete with a minimum of 1% of the membership’s signatures.

Signatures from individuals who are joint owners, but who do not have a primary share account of their own, are not valid. If there are no nominations by petition, the candidates stated above will be put forth on the election ballot.
